Before embarking on his independent advisory career, he most recently worked at Majid Al Futtaim Holding as Head of External Affairs, leading all external communications for Holding and overseeing them across the group’s five operating companies, in addition to strategic partnerships and government/public affairs. Prior to that, he was a Partner at the Brunswick Group from 2010 to 2021, where he provided strategic communications advisory for GCC government-related entities and officials, home-grown companies, and multinational conglomerates, managing multi-disciplinary, cross-border account teams across a range of sectors and specialties.

His most important clients included Her Highness the Chairperson of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, the Abu Dhabi Media Office, ADQ, Siemens, the Arab Strategy Forum, Aldar Properties, the Olayan Group, Abu Dhabi School of Government, Saudi Aramco, Alkhabeer Capital, Senaat, and Digital Dubai, among many others. From 2014 until 2021, Wajih led a team advising the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on communications related to its donor government relations and philanthropic partnerships. From 2019-2021, Wajih worked on several strategic acquisitions conceived by ADQ to unlock opportunities in Abu Dhabi’s non-oil sector, including the strategic combinations of Abu Dhabi Power Corporation and TAQA, Al Foah Dates and Agthia, and Emirates Steel and Arkan.
